The Health Ministry announced 479 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 22,750. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the ministry' disease control and prevention director-general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 19 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll 1, 391.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 5,642. The capital city recorded 75 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 6,709. Meanwhile, East Java reported 223 new cases, South Sumatra 76, South Sulawesi 23, West Java 22, and Papua 11.
